Dollhouse Miniature Blue Mason Jar with a Rose

I'm currently obsessed with these self made dollhouse miniature blue mason jars ^^
I like mine just slightly blue tinted, not too dark.

I took a little break from making the wreath (which is still a far way to go), and working on this instead.

There are days where flower making seems to be progressing on a much slower pace. So when that happens, I move to another project.

Exciting news! I'm going to work on writing my next PDF tutorial once some supplies are in. I'm excited! I'll be writing about making these round victorian gift boxes. If you want to learn how to make some yourself, please stay tuned. I appreciate your support! :)

Have a wonderful Thursday all!

New white and blue bouquet

I made another white and blue bouquet, using some new paints that I've bought! I'm happy with the results. I've also bought some other colors and can't wait to try them out slowly over time.

The dark blue berries add some depth into this bouquet :) I'm truly loving the look.

I've also made some light blue smaller flowers to bring more "blue" to the bouquet.

While jogging, a thought came into my mind. I need to try making a wreath next! White and blue flower wreath! So yes, that will be my goal.

If this set is still around by the time I complete the wreath, I'll be able to have a photo opportunity with them all. ^^

I suspect that the wreath is going to take a while, which is always the case with flowers. But the end goal is not that important for me. I am looking forward to enjoy the process, from scratch to deliberating colors and composition. This is what makes me excited.

White and Blue Flower Bouquet and Victorian Round Boxes

I have been busy working on more dollhouse miniature victorian round boxes once I gotten the technique. I am getting the kick of making them. With so many papers around, I can visualize a whole lot of different color schemes which is making me excited! I also got more ribbons to play with, and now I just have to patiently wait for them to arrive. It's just frustrating that simple things like ribbons has to be ordered online from overseas, because they don't carry those specific ones here locally.

So, the white and blue theme has always been one of the most popular color schemes in my shop.
After I made the sage green boxes, and the flora ones with a flower arrangement on the top, I wanted to try making a mini ensemble piece that includes a flower bouquet, because I think that would make the scene so pretty^^

So here goes!

Something new with these flowers is that, I added a soft blue center to the roses. ^^

I know I keep repeating using the same decor elements, but I am currently loving this look so much, that's why :D

As I typed this, I thought of another idea. Erhmm...what if I add another wreath? Would it be an overkill?
I shall try, after I remake and relist the sage green boxes.! No harm giving it a try! ^^

Dollhouse Miniature Round Victorian Gift Boxes

The other day, I tried making some dollhouse miniature round victorian gift boxes. My first attempt was a failure. They weren't as easy as they looked. Rectangle and square ones were much more straight forward to make. As long as you have your measurements right, it should work out.

I used a template on the internet for the round victorian gift boxes, but they didn't work out! So I had to scrap that method totally and came up with my own way to make these. So all in all, making the round gift boxes were more time consuming.

But I am glad I persevered, and actually enjoyed making them. I had a lot of fun!

As I made them, I had visions to make them in various paper styles. Pink, blue, lavender, red! :)

I could have made the whole box in the soft sage paper, but it wouldn't stand out. So I opted to use a cream color box lid instead, so the soft sage could shine on their own!

Adding a ribbon onto them just add a touch of elegance to the entire look.

Place them in a tea shop setting, bakery shop, french chic decor, there are just endless possibilities.

Maybe flowers on the top too?

I was contemplating that....Maybe for my next piece!

I'm off to make more of these.

Have a great week ahead!

Dollhouse Miniature 1/12th Scale Kitchen Buffet Table

This piece is very much inspired by real life. I have seen such tables exist in hotel buffets. :)

But of course, because I'm not a huge fan of taking photos of food before I eat them, most of the time, I rely on my memory.

Presenting to you, the Dollhouse Miniature 1/12th Scale Kitchen Buffet Table

But of course, it can be used MORE than just a buffet table. Tea shop! ^^

It is not surprising that the intricate motifs are what drawn me to this beautiful piece. I'm sure it will be an eye catching piece in a vignette or dollhouse bakery or kitchen.

Can you believe it's already April? I am going to have to prepare my tax filing. The good thing is, I've always prepared early. I hate leaving it to the last minute because it gives me anxiety and so I prefer to start early.

Have a good week everyone!
